Ram upgrade

Recommended Posts

Has anyone on their i160 replaced the DDR4-2666 ram yet? For something with a faster clock speed? Or have you been able to overlock the original included ram?

I’m not familiar with the z370i and its ram overclock potential.

Thanks

Hey there, Prancer, you should be able to upgrade the RAM without issue for the speed, but do keep in mind about the height of the memory as there isn't a lot of clearance inside the internals of the system.

The board is essentially this board here:

We generally recommend using only validated upgrades for CORSAIR ONE systems. Here's a similar capacity memory kit that should simply just work.

Alternatively, if you're after higher speed memory as well, you've got the following (unvalidated options, that should physically fit but may require additional tweaks in BIOS to run at rated speed)

32GB (2x16GB) @ 3200MHz - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/vengeance-lpx-black/p/CMK32GX4M2B3200C16

32GB (2x16GB) @ 4000MHz - https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/vengeance-lpx-black/p/CMK32GX4M2F4000C19
