RodrigoDRT
I just wonder how is the K95 leds positioned within the keys, I have an old discontinue K70 vengenace red light only, and it has a terrible flaw. It simply has the red light leds behind the keys, this results in a monstruous red glare towards anything behind it, in my case, my monitor. Its simply painful to see the reflection on my screen because of that, so much so that i try to reduce it by using the minimal lighting settings and disabled the lights on the F1 to F12 keys. Does the K95 has the same 'issue' ? EDIT: as an extra, this might be odd, but with my K70 the left CTRL edge is so pointy that it's actually hurting my hand when i have to use it a lot, so much so that i've to cover it with a small piece of tape... weird... but could just be me, is the K95 more... comfortable? Corsair Employee Corsair Hotpot Posted December 3, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 3, 2018 Hi, The LEDs are all going to be towards the top of the switch. Unfortunately you'll get lighting shining back onto the aluminum body of the keyboard. This is the nature of our keyboards because the keys are lifted above the frame and not built in. RodrigoDRT
Hi, The LEDs are all going to be towards the top of the switch. Unfortunately you'll get lighting shining back onto the aluminum body of the keyboard. This is the nature of our keyboards because the keys are lifted above the frame and not built in. I can understand that, however, does the elevated body area on the back of the keys covers the entire glare of the leds? i'm not so sure how it may differ from my K70, but the 'elevated' area right behind the keys where the lighting controls keys, volume controller are is not 'tall' enough to block the led lights, so in my K70, it goes straight towards my monitor with a massive red glow, as a workaround, I used a large black ruler right behind F1 and so on keys to block the glow neard the led source, i feel that if the K95 aluminium part behind the keys is more elevated than the K70 red, it could block the intense glare and avoid this problem, any chances? RodrigoDRT
Let me bump this thread another time, and let me see if i explain a better whats my issue here. This would be my K70 leds: https://imgur.com/h7hBzdt supposedly this would be how the K95 does the lighting thing: https://imgur.com/QHATBBi what got me curious is that with my placed on the back red leds, my keyboard simply reflects that furious red light towards the back and right on my screen, so this is my problem with my old K70: https://imgur.com/a/lD1bBje kinda experience ruining if i may say so... so i have to turn off the red light partially. lastly, I've been thinking on investing on a K95, it seems like it just emits light underneath the keys and around, but im scared to invest so much and get the same issue..
