provster
I'm just curious how the version number of the firmwares can go from 1.3.3 to 5.02. It's a bit odd - what happened to 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 4.02.. and 5.0 and 5.01?! *Mystified* :D:
Toasted
Firmware version 5.02 is the latest Firmware version and is in all current production Sandforce SSD Drives since mid May of this year. We will roll out an End User version of this update as soon as it is available. http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showpost.php?p=582213&postcount=
Wired
Nothing complicated, they just changed the version number from one arbitrary number to another one :)
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 21, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 21, 2012 Yes indeed we changed the numbering scheme so it is different than other SSD Manufacturers. We do not use the same build and as such our firmware may be based on a certain reference Firmware but modified for our BUILD. And the old numbering scheme was causing some confusion when a higher number firmware was being offered but actually or Firmware was based on a totally different reference version.
