ydogan
My computer freezes from time to time. My hard disk, Corsair Force GS 128 GB. Writing-reading lamp lit continuously for 30-40 seconds. In the meantime, do not do anything. Only able to move the mouse. My computer is a HP Pavilion notebook dv5196e model 8 years. 32-bit Windows 7 installed. I'm quite pleased with the performance of your hard disk. But it freezes very demoralizing. I was having to do. I installed the firmware 5.24. But freezing happening again. Toasted
Check if you have the latest BIOS installed as well as chipset drivers. Have you tried turning off any HD power saving features in the BIOS (If any) and Windows? For a laptop that is eight years old, it may be SSD compatibility issues with the chipset. ydogan
My chipset driver is Intel® 82801G (ICH7) Ultra ATA and up to date. I set the HD power saving passive from windows. Was 10 minutes. But these problems are happening in opening the Windows. It's happening to login to windows instantly. No power protection in the BIOS. Thanks Toasted. Toasted
Did the computer start freezing ever since the SSD was installed? If yes, it seems to be a compatibility issue with the SSD and chipset. Can you try the SSD on another computer?
