Uprading fans and fan controller!

I want to upgrade the fans in my 750D Airflow. I want to use QL140 RGB fans to replace the ML140 fans and use the Commander Pro to control them. It is my understanding that the Commander Pro would basically eliminate the need for a Lighting Node Core or Lighting Node Pro. I only have 6 fans at this point. Is this correct?

Also, from what I have read here on the Forums, QL120 RGB fans won't work on my H150i because they have to be connected to the pump which has no RGB connector. Is this correct?

I will appreciate any input.

hey buddy.. have a read of the below Faq,,

Commander Pro would need an RGB Fan LED hub on one of its channels to control the RGB of 6 fans. you would also be able to control the speeds of those 6 fans if you also connected the fans power cables to the Commander Pros 6 Fan headers.

The Lighting Node Core connects via internal 9 pin usb and controls the RGB only of 6 fans.. no RPM control

with both LNP and LNC in play to show differing connections..

This could be yours with a push/pull config on the H150i

yes you could use the QL fans on your H150i to control fan speeds.. just not RGB. but that can be done anyways as seen above..

Thanks for all of the valuable information, Zotty. I feel like such a Newbie when it comes the LED fans and controllers, but I simply have never used them. I have used and built computers since 1984; thus old_geekster! Edited by old_geekster
