JohnKS Posted February 3, 2012 Share Posted February 3, 2012 Hi: I know this has been discussed a great deal but regardless, I can't update from 1.3 to 1.3.3. I get random lock ups which never happened until I replaced my HDD with the Corsair SSD. So I thought I'd attempt a FW update. Force GT 120GB. Windows 7 x64. AHCI enabled in bios. AMD driver. Kept getting red X during update so it failed. Assumed that was the issue. Replaced with Microsoft driver. Same situation. Update failed - red X. Did the registry changes. So basically, there's no straightforward way to do a firmware update as far as I can tell. I also have the Force 3 120GB SSD on a Linux box and there seems to be no easy way to update that firmware either. Wish this wasn't so hard. Actually, I just wish it was possible. I assume it is since other posters have succeeded but so far not for me. If anyone knows of a simple way to update this firmware, I'd sure appreciate having it. ATB.
