joshuashutchins
Hi All, ML120 X 6 on commander core connected to lighting node. Fans are running and RGB works. I cannot control the fan speed. When I make any changes whether its manual or choose a pre-setting nothing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

c-attack
That is a Commander Pro (not a Commander Core), but it should not matter for this behavior. Don't use the presets at all. They are irregular at best. 1) In your custom curve, trying using fixed RPM and fixed % by sliding the line up or down. Do the fans respond to both? 2) CUE settings -> Commander - change the headers from auto to "4 pin". This is beneficial regardless as it will stop the unneeded 100% fan start-up on boot. 3) If they still don't respond, try a repair install of CUE. Windows Settings -> Apps, left click on Corsair CUE and select the 'modify' option. Follow the prompts for a repair. This will not delete your settings. 4) If nothing is still working, you may need to post the custom curve with the graph so we can see it.

c-attack
I don’t get it either. Even when grouped those are still 6 independent fan headers and 6 different fans. It would be incredible for all 6 to suffer a simultaneous loss of speed control while general power remains unaffected. You could lose 1-2 headers for control or power loss to the entire unit, but this is neither. How is the Commander Core behaving? Are you able to adjust speeds on it in the same way (custom curve PWM%)? Its preset curves (Quiet/Balanced/Extreme) have a different meaning than on the Commander and it likely stays in that 600-800 range normally. The irony here is most people when they get the Commander Pro have the opposite problem. It races between 900-1500 rpm, back and forth in concert with the pulsing CPU temp. The only thing that makes any sense is some kind of corruption in the cooling configuration file. You can try removing it. Quit CUE from the task bar. Navigate to C:Users/(name)/App data (hidden)/Roaming/Corsair/CUE/cooling. Inside is a config file. Cut and paste it to the desktop. Relaunch CUE and make a new curve. Do the fans respond? In fact, if this works the fans should be blasting at you running the ‘normal’ balanced profile. Before you quit and do this, put all 6 Commander Pro fans back in balanced mode. Then quit CUE. What happens after you exit software control? Still flat and quiet? Or racy? If this all a bust, you can put the config file back in place to get your prior curves back. However, I’m guessing you don’t have many at this point. I am unsure if the Commander Core is hooked into the same config file and don’t have one to test.
