SeberDeper
Hello all. Quick disclaimer - English isnt my native language so please bear with me :) I have recently brought and installed 8 Corsair LL120mm and 5 Corsair LL140mm fans to my Obsidian 1000D case and even though I have enough 4-pin fan connecters (I have used some fan splitters to my commander pro), Im missing some if not all the RBG connecters. My question is: How do I solve this problem? I have tried to look at the Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub but it does only have 6 RBG slots and I need 13.. Pls help :D
DevBiker
You'll need 2-3 Fan Hubs. The limit of 6 is due to power draw limits. You do not want to put 13 LL fans on a single SATA power connector! See the RGB FAQ linked in my signature.
SeberDeper
So 3 CORSAIR RGB Fan LED Hubs should do the trick? And where do I find your signature? :)
DevBiker
The signature is at the bottom of my post. There's a section for "Helpful Links and FAQs". And yes, 3 hubs would do the trick. You'd also need 3 channels. So ... the CoPro + a NoPro. If you got the fans in multipacks, you'll have everything you need.
SeberDeper
Found it! Thank you very much :) Sadly I didnt buy my fans in multipacks.. Would you recommend me getting 2 CORSAIR Lighting Node PROs just to be sure? One of the LED slots in my commander pro is already in use by the Obsidian 1000d Case. SeberDeper
I also have another quick question if you dont mind.. When it comes to powering it all up, would a caple like shown on the picture be sufficient? https://imgur.com/pboyy9F
DevBiker
Yes, the power cable is fine. The 1000D has a pass-through at the end of the front panel LEDs that you can connect the fan hub to. And just one LNP will do for the fans. But ... you might want more. RGBz are addictive.
SeberDeper
Do you know if I would be able to plug 1 and only 1 rbg fan header directly to my motherboard? (Asrock z490 Taichi) Btw I really appreciate all the help you have given me :)
