Suggestions: disk and network activity indicator

Hello everybody,

First post here, hope I am posting this in the right place. Tried searching before posting this question as well. I'd like to recommend a new LED effect in iCue: disk activity! The disk activity on the board is kind of bland, can't hook that up to an addressable LED. Why not have that fun blinking mapped to an LED or two on a strip or a fan? Have the option for it to be solid or blinking, something to indicate a drive is doing something. Perhaps have a color gradient for the more busy the drive becomes would be just as useful as the temperature monitoring feature.

While writing this I figured why not do something similar for network activity while we are at it. If this already exists or is something I can do myself, I'm happy to find out how I can achieve this.
