SSD firmware failed to update

First time using the Corsair SSD Tool for my Force GT SSD's. Like the many other post I've found the firmware fails to install.

 

Board: MSI Z87-G45

Intel® 8 Series/C220 Series SATA AHCI Controller - 8C02

Bios: Version 04.06.05

VGA: MSI GTX 770 2GB

PSU: SeaSonic X Series X-850

CPU: i7 4770k 3.5GHz (OC 4.0)

MEM: G.Skilll 16GB

SSD: Corsair Force Series GT CSSD-F180GBGT-BK 2.5" 180GB x 2 (not in raid)

COOLER:CORSAIR Hydro Series H80

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

 

That said..I plan to do some upgrades in a few days and I will be putting the SSD's in raid and reinstalling windows. Would just like to try and get this resolved ahead of time. Will putting them in raid be an issue later on for firmware?

Completely power the machine off for about 30 seconds. Then, restart and scan the firmware again.

That did not help. I also tried to run as admin.

 

It downloads the firmware but just fails to install immediately.

Are you using the latest version of the toolbox? Make sure you have 1.1, not 1.0.

Yes I am. Also I am on firmware 1.3.3 for the SSD's.

 

Wow not even the trimming is working. I can trim with w8 tools so not sure what is up with this app.

You need to use the Field updater manual firmware updater to update the firmware to the latest before you can use the SSD toolbox. The SSD toolbox does not support updating firmware from 1.3.X to 5.0.X
