jmreinhardt
Hello, I have a 1st Gen VoyageAir 1TB drive. It has worked great since we bought it, even through the upgrade of firmware and ipad app. Last week however, after some electrical work at my house, the drive will no longer show up on the ethernet network, nor through its own wifi connection. The wifi indicator is lit up on the drive, but no devices can detect it. Is there a way for me to restore this functionality to the drive?
Yellowbeard
Have you tried doing a reset on the drive, using the reset button on the bottom?
jmreinhardt
I have not. Does that erase the contents of the drive? I'll need to back up the drive first if it does. (Thanks for the reply!)
Yellowbeard
No, it will not erase your data. The info you will be resetting lives on the controller, not on your HDD inside the device. A backup is ALWAYS a good idea.
jmreinhardt
A quick search answered my question about the drive content, so I have performed a reset. The Voyageair WIFI is still not visible.
Toasted
You could try a firmware reflash (if it works), that may help. Note: Remember to backup all your data before attempting the reflash.
BillRathbone
I just want to make sure I understand - it's the ethernet that doesn't seem to be connecting to your network?
