Default 2018 Cases no Optical bay?

Are there going to be any new cases this year(Corsair) with the 5.25 bay for optical drives? Seems every new case removed the bay for the optical drive. I have a UHD drive i still use. Bit disappointing for me.

As for everything Corsair doesn’t comment on unreleased products. With the new tempered glass/rgb thing, new cases seem to ditch de 5.25 bay. But you can be always use a sata to usb converter to use it as external!

I had my old man get a USB3.0 writer, though he doesn't use it much.

@OP - Optical drives are kind of dieing out as most of software can be easily put onto a USB thumb drive or download directly. I am guessing you like to watch Blue Ray Movies. They still sell cases with optical drives, though if they do come out with something with a 5.25" slot, I don't think it will be much different than anything currently out, maybe it might have a TG side panel?

M disk are supposed to last 1000 years. Perfect for archiving data. The negation of the 5.25 inch external drive is a mistake. I won't buy a case without one.

Current case is a Corsair 750D.

No mistake, legacy device. I won't buy a case with one. Just like I don't want one in my car either.

Now if motherboards would finally drop the PS/2 port...
