Default K63 Wireless not charging.

Hi,

I have a brand new K63 wireless a few days ago, and have had it plugged into a USB3.0 port on my PC for 2-3 days, however it still says the battery is charging.

When I disconnect the USB cable and connect it via the wireless receiver the status light goes red and says the battery is low.

I have the latest version of iCue and the latest firmware for the keyboard also (v3.07)

Is there something I can try, or is it possible I have a faulty keyboard?

Edit: forgot to mention that all power saving settings are off, including USB power settings etc.

Thanks.

1) Using the supplied cable, or another?

2) Try another port, or perhaps using a device recharger that supplies 1A or more over USB plug?

Thanks for the reply! Yep, have swapped different USB 3.0 ports and using the supplied original manufacturer cable.

Try holding the ESC key, turning the keyboard power on, then releasing the key after 1 second. Afterward try to charge as normal.

If you haven't already sent it in for RMA, try doing it with the USB power plugged in as well.

Haha! Esc / Power on / 1 sec - Worked For Me - FIXED

So I had exactly the same issue.

(power on keyboard low . . plugged in to USB to charge for hours and hours . . then when unplugged from USB got a red light "low power warning"

I followed the advice given here . .

1) Turned Keyboard off
2) Made sure USB cable was unplugged from keyboard) ***
3) Whilst holding down ESC, turn keyboard on
4) Wait a second (I waited 5 seconds) then release ESC key

Result: Red warning light turned White. iCUE reports "High" charge

(** for me, the cable HAD to be unplugged from keyboard for this to work)

Thanks all. Thanks specifically "Corsair Michael"

Thanks ...this worked for me! Very simple solution for a very quirky ICue software. Not to hijack this thread, but does anyone have a solution for charging the RGB Wireless Mouse? I find it very confusing to perform what is likely a very simple solution to this.

Regards!

Wow, thanks for this info. I was starting to think this thing was dying on me after treating me so well for the last 6 months. Used this method and boom, full charge like it should be.
