Splitting 115i Platinum With 4 Fans?

Hello!

I'm in the middle of building a completely new system and I had a quick question.

I've purchased 2 140 ML fans to accompany the set of fans that ships with the 115i Platinum for a push/pull configuration.

Rather than having to purchase an entirely separate node, am I able to just split 2 fans to a single header on the pump connection?

Yes, it will work nicely. I've also got four fans connected for Push/pull on mine using Noctua PWM 2-way splitters on each to synchronize fans speeds.

As for RGB splitters, they should work for ML fans as well, although you could also go the Lighting Node Pro + RGB Hub route and connect all or some of the fans' RGB cables there for individual RGB control for fans and lighting effects (AFAIK the effects will be duplicated for fans on a split RGB connection, so if you want to use lighting effects that transition from one fan to the other that might not be desirable).

Are you talking about splitting the RGB or splitting the fan power/RPM control?

Well ... in either case, you have enough current on that pump to do that.

Sorry for the late response.

My desire is to split the RGB connectors. 2 per fan. Set of pushing fans to one connection 1. Set of pulling fans to connection 2.

I'm not really sure which direction I am going for the PWM controls. Should I just split those as well?

I'd need 4 fan splitter cables in total, yeah?

The RGB and the PWM are two different cables.

For the PWM control, you can use standard PWM splitters. That's exactly how mine is set up.

For the RGB control, you can do this only if you have ML (which you do). HD and LL have too many LEDs. If you want to build your own cables, you can check out http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=174759.

Or if you just want to buy them, you can get them here: https://www.ebay.com/str/piratedogtech.

Which set of cables would you recommend to split with the pump connectors? I see about four different cables that may work, however, I am not sure which set from this seller is suited for the intended use.

I'm still not certain which ones you are looking to split.

For the PWM, you can use any PWM fan splitter. For cable management reasons, I recommend going with a shorter splitter.

For the RGB, you'd want this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/372525759121.
