Default K8V SE Deluxe with TwinX CMX512R-3200C2 RAM

OK first time build thought ththis mobo and RAM were compatible. The Mobo will only post with either stick of this RAM and not both so I only can make it run with 512 RAM and not a gig. Is it because it's non-ECC or is it not totally compatible or is there something that needs to be set in the BIOS?

If it's platinum LL it shouldn't matter right? CMX1024-3200 stick of gig will not perform as well correct that's only for a upgradeable purpose? Sorry still new Thx for all your help.
