Default Asus K8n-e Deluxe

Model# K8N-E DELUXE
Item # N82E16813131498

ASUS "K8N-E Deluxe" NVIDIA nForce3 Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 754 CPU

I would like to have 1 gig of RAM for this motherboard. I won't be doing any overclocking. What do you recommend?

Asus QVL in the manual lists, among others, the Corsair CMX512-3200C2. Just download the on-line manual to see the other RAM that Asus claims works with the board.

So what happens if this combo doesn't work? I have this board (and an MSI K8T Neo FIS2-R) and I have two 512 mb sticks of this exact memory, and neither board will post with both sticks in, in any combination. But each works perfectly on its own, in any computer I own. What gives? I do overclock and have been successful with both sticks in either board (2-3-3-6), just not at the same time. And I relax the timings appropriately when both sticks (theoretically, at least) are in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

D
