Cal_Ab
We are trying to install an H100i v2 onto a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU mounted on a Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming mainboard. The AMD bracket supplied with the H100 does not fit. The bracket appears to be a bit wider and longer than the mounting holes in the mainboard. :(: The stock AMD cooler fits the mainboard without any issues. Is there a bracket available to use this cooler on this mainboard, or do we need to find another cooling solution? Thanks!
c-attack
The H100i v2 and other GT/GTX/v2 coolers pre-date the AM4 and users had to get an specialized mounting kit made for it. The link is below and it may also be available through other retailers. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Cooling/AM4-AMD-Retention-Bracket-Kit-for-Hydro-Series%E2%84%A2-Coolers/p/CW-8960046 On a side note, if you have just purchased this cooler you might consider one of the newer versions. The v2 series is ready for retirement. If you've had it, but just upgraded the MB/CPU combo, then the bracket may be the best solution.
Cal_Ab
Thanks! I was able to locate a bracket and it shouldn't take too long to arrive. It's a CPU/Mainboard replacement as I already had the cooler.
