damoh
Just recently installed a new H150i Pro RDB however it wasn't working (wasn't turning on at all). I noticed that the CPU_FAN cable only had a single wire. I presume that's a fault and I need to return the device? Attached is a photo of the CPU fan header on my H150 and a screen shot from youtube. Cheers.
DevBiker
Not a fault. Only the RPM/Tach cable is present. This is by design. As for why it's not working ... check your power connector. Make sure that you aren't using any adapters or splitters but a full SATA connection back to the PSU.
damoh
Thanks for the fast reply. Just so I'm clear, you are absolutely certain there should be a SINGLE wire leading into the CPU_FAN header? Every single picture I find on the web shows there are TWO wires going into the CPU_FAN header. (I've attached another example.)
DevBiker
I have both Pro and Platinum coolers in different machines. They all work. All of them only have a single cable to the CPU_FAN connector. It's only there for reporting RPM. That's it. Nothing else is needed.
