mystomachurts
Hello i currently have CORSAIR CXM series CX500M psu and I really need to replace it asap. The 24 pin does not go in all the way and its making me paranoid! I just reccently bought this psu EVGA 600B 80PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V/EPS12V , however to my surprise it did not fit my case. My case has two brackets on each end that i suppose that prevented the new psu from mounting correctly? So I really what PSU would fit the case? Toasted
What do you mean by the 24-pin not going in all the way?
Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted April 7, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 7, 2015 This is a known problem where the 24-pin is just too firm. You can RMA your CX500M for a PSU that doesn't have this issue. There's no reason why the EVGA PSU shouldn't fit if it's in spec for an ATX PSU. Now I too was not sure why the evga psu did not fit, however i've just ordered a new psu and refunded teh evga psu. Hopefully i can get this one to fit!
