Ensor
After flashing the Commander it apparently needs to be powered off. This means that it has no power. So a system reboot is not enough. Shutting down your system is not enough. Many motherboards keep power on the USB while the system is shut down to allow an USB device to wake it. Powered off means PULL THE PLUG for the entire system and let it sit for 10 minutes so that you're sure all caps and things have had time to bleed off. If you have a bricked Commander after flashing try this, it worked for me.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 8, 2012 Thanks for letting us know but the issue was determined to be firmware 1.2.0 which has been pulled for the time being but still a good suggestion.
randolla
You can also try pushing the power button on you computers case and on the motherboard with the PSU power button OFF or the cord unplugged. I am glad that you got it working again. I am also glad that Corsair FINALLY pulled the firmware update.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 8, 2012 If that does happen to someone please turn the system off and then turn the power off to the PSU or un-plug it for about 30 Min. That may bring the Link back As Ensor found to be the case.
