225719
I have the same issue with iCUE also but i figured Link was more stable and safe :( Screen shot shows CPU under 100% load with Coretemp showing correct temps and Link just stuck lol This happens when ever the system is under a heavy load! If a light load is present it does report correct temps! No idea why the software fails when the system is under load. One would think it would run at a elevated priority Since it controls your cooling... Ideas? Is this normal??
c-attack
Is the program actually changing values anywhere? Is it frozen? Lots of 7700K owners out there on Link. This is the first non-AMD CPU temp issue I can remember. One of the more common issues is Link/iCUE can lock up from time to time, especially if there are other monitoring programs in use. My Link 4.9.7 locks up every single time, about 10 min after boot. I have no idea why, but it is repeatable. Exiting Link from the task manager and then restarting it solves the issue and it stays true until the next boot. Can you add any more detail as to other programs or circumstances? DevBiker
Link (and iCue) do just hang when the CPU is under heavy load, especially when being benchmarked. It has to do with thread scheduling and prioritization - the Link/iCue threads are, essentially, starved of CPU cycles.
