Quisg Posted July 24, 2004 Share Posted July 24, 2004 I just purchased an Epox 8Kda3j motherboard (first non-ASUS motherboard I have owned). I already had a stick of CMX512 3200c2 memory. I also bought another one when I got the new motherboard. I have a AMD64 3200+. I can boot with one or the other memory module in just fine and it works great. If I try both, it only recognizes one of them. I have the latest BIOS and also tried changing the voltage, timings, and eveything else I could find. Nothing seems to work. I have read there are issues with double sided ram but everyone seems to have this working? I did notice on the sticker of the chips that their versions are different. One is a v2.2 and on is a v3.1. The new chip I just got is the v3.1 chip. One interesting note is that when the BIOS posts it sets this chips timing to 3-3-8-3 and the older on it sets to 2.5-3-8-3.
