Corsair SSD with the Asus 570 board OVER HEATING

So I have the above motherboard, and Corsair SSD. For some reason, it's overheating, as is my Samsung SSD, both installed under those plates designed to house the SSDs.

 

Not sure why, as I'm not doing any powerhouse computing, just using the web, so I don't think it should be overheating at this point. I could understand if I was running Zbrush, Blender, Photoshop, Substance Painter, etc all at the same time on and UE4 processing.

 

Any others experiencing issues. I did remove the default heatsink in order to place the MB plate with the protective heat pad that comes with the plate.
