haj68
I fully expect to be revealed as an idiot. Oh well. TLDR; SATA power plug on new H60 pump doesn't go into motherboard SATA port, can has adapter? Background. Replacing H60 cooler (purchased in 2015) with H60 2018 cooler. Issue. Everything going great until I need to plug in the pump power cable into an available SATA port. Two ports are available, but they aren't the right size/shape for the supplied plug. Question. Can anyone recommend an adaptor of some kind or am I screwed? Additional info. Here is a link to the motherboard manual (pdf), if you go to section 1.2.8 Internal connectors and look at the first part (1. Intel Z97 Serial ATA 6Gb/s connectors (7-pin SATA6G_1-4 [red])) you will see what I'm talking about re the motherboard SATA ports. Anyway, thanks for reading this far. Cheers. haj68
I am an idiot. I'm confusing SATA power with SATA data cabling. I just need to get a SATA power cable with at least 3 plugs (current one only has two and they're powering the drives). ... aaaaand yep. That was it. I'm all good now.
