berettags
Hi, I have ForceGT 60GB in my system which runs with fw 1.3.3, and tried to update to 5.05a with manuel update tool. On my computer, when i click "proceed", it immediatly freezes my system. Then, i have to restart pc, bios doesn't recognize ssd so i have to unplug system, unload static eletric, turn it on and ssd is on again! On another computer i tried with, process completed successfully but firmware looks like never been updated. Any ideas  Both systems runs in AHCI mode also. Toasted
Make sure you selected the correct FW signature file. Have you tried the MSAHCI drivers? Have you tried a different Intel/AMD SATA port and a different SATA cable? Have you tried running it as admin?
berettags
Hi, I'm sure about signature. I've tried even with another mainboard and also tried with running it in as an admin. What do you mean about drivers? I've formatted my pc also.

elbubi
Yes, you need it regardless your chipset's vendor. I have a Z68 board myself and still needed to follow that procedure the 3 times I flashed my GT120. Regards!
berettags
Ok, checked at location where msahci should be, but windows can't locate any driver under C:/windows/system32/drivers. If i let it to find drivers to itself, windows says it's already updated.

Toasted
Try the update on a different computer. E.g. friends computer or ask your local computer shop to update it for you. If you cannot update it, you can request an RMA and ask Corsair to update the firmware for you.
