elspxvwcyr
I installed a CSSD-F240GB3A-BK 240GB SSD in my ACER netbook (SATA II / Windows 7 starter), and the ATTO benchmark shows expected read performance but only 1/2 expected write performance. Any reason for this? Thanks. http://www.pathcom.com/~jhb/images/atto.jpg

elspxvwcyr
I have another computer with MSI motherboard also SATA II (Win7 pro) where I installed a Corsair Force 3 120GB drive and here is the benchmark: http://www.pathcom.com/~jhb/images/atto2.jpg So are you saying the Netbook SATA II is limited to 125 MBS but the MSI motherboard SATA II is good for 250 MBS? Turbonerfs101e
Read speed is about the same 280MB/s max speed ove sata2 controller About the write speed i see the difference. But you can't compair 2 diferant sata controller 1 from a desktop and other from a netbook Check for bios update for netbook With out Acer spec i can't help mutch If it is a AMD you won't get mutch more If it is a Intel you nead to check for Bios, Chipset and Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Driver for Intel Desktop Boards update
elspxvwcyr
Well I updated the BIOS and drivers (Intel) to the latest, with no change. I guess it's as good as it gets. Thanks for the replies.
