Default H100i GTX doesn’t fit

Hey, I have a h100i and I’m currently upgrading to a z370 board, the back plate fits into the slots, but doesn’t tighten up there’s too much slack. How can I pack this out for it to fit and have a save fitting for block and cpu

The unit is not supposed to be tight until you fasten all of the mounting posts/screws. You do not need to grind those into the motherboard. Hand tightening or a 1/4 turn past with a screw driver is plenty. Is that it? Or something else?
