So I was able to confirmed the fitment. There is some contact on the side panel, and it bows out slightly when closed.

Well, checked it by myself ... unfortunately Asus Strix 980 GTX (134.4mm) does not fit into Corsair Air Carbide 240. it looked like 2-3mm (SLI connectors and nearby parts of the card) were missing.

131-132.4mm is the max :(
