Vegan
I was looking at some motherboards and I ran across a couple that have two EPS12V 8-pin connectors. Looking at the tentacles with the AX series, all come with only a single EPS12V cable so I am kinda hard pressed to use the AX1500i with a board that needs a pair of EPS12V connectors
Braxos
Ax 1200i has 2 for sure. Using a rampage v extreme it needs a 8 and a 4 pin. http://www.corsair.com/de-de/ax1200i-digital-atx-power-supply-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-fully-modular-psu-eu on the page just choose the tech spec tab there it says EPS connector: 2 I checked all ax.....i and all have 2 cables for the cpu, 4 plus 4 pin cables. Vegan
I was looking at the MSI Z170 based board, it wants a pair of 8-pin EPS cables. Seems that more and more SLI/CFX boards want more and more power. Which is why I am looking at the AX1500i as a solution to power pig motherboards
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted October 16, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 16, 2015 Remember whenever you see "4+4", that is a connector that doubles as either a 4-pin OR an 8-pin for additional CPU power.
Vegan
I look over the motherboards closely to see what they have and what they need
