Default Corsair Graphite 780T - Fan cables

Hi, I wanted to know if the cables of the 3 case fans have to be connected to these connectors coming from the I / O panel.
Thank you

Default Kinda helping?

Its not a system requirement. all those headers do is allow you to control the speed of those fans in three set speeds. You could completely ignore these and plug the fans into other controllers, like the mobo or a NoPro/CoPro, or you could do what I have done, which is to put most of the fans through controllers, and put one or two through the variable. I enjoy the audible feedback of pressing the button to make the fans speed up or slow down. Hope this helps.
