Test_12
I have a 120 GB Force GT. Previously I had successfuly updated to 5.02. But today, first my computer froze and BIOS gave Read errors. After that I removed and re-plugged the SATA cable. Then, the computer had successfuly booted. I was suspicious about firmware and after searching for updates I decided to update to 5.03. I tried to update with Win7 x64 because I did not have any problem before. It seems that it was a wrong decision... Yes I have read the PDF instructions and yes I have followed them exactly. At the moment, my computer screen has been completely frozen since 17:39. I don't know what to do. Should I restart the computer? What can I do if my SSD fails because of firmware update failure? Will I need DOS or live Linux to fix?
Test_12
I have restarted the computer and fortunately there was nothing wrong. I tried to update again and that time the updater said that update was successful, but like other people in forums version didn't change. I tried again later and the computer froze once again. I will try to update the firmware later with some Linux distro.
