Default Disgusted with some of Corsairs products

I own a brand new Corsair Gaming K95 RGB. The software is still glitchy. My profiles are constantly resetting to something other than what I had it set to randomly. Also sometimes the lights just stop working... All of them reboot fixes it but I paid a lot of money for this keyboard.

I also own a Corsair 900D and an 800D. Both great cases. No complaints other that the terrible drive cages in the 900D. They vibrate and just don't hold HDD's very securely or quietly. Good thing I have almost completely transitioned to SSD's.

I also own a Corsair Mini Commander and a Corsair lighting node. The lighting node never worked since I bought it. When I first plugged it in the lights flickered then nothing if I unplug and replug power they flicker but then go off. The lights work fine directly in the Commander Mini

However The Damn Commander Mini is constantly going crazy. When I get it to work by uninstalling the software unplugging everything and also clearing some files manually as I was instructed and multiple reboots it inevitably losses all devices I have connected. None of my fans will show or my water pump.

All of my fans are PWM Noctuas. My pump is an mcp35x2. These all work flawlessly when it works... But it doesn't stay working. To make matters worse I have not seen any way to export my profiles. I spent a ton of time setting my curves I don't know how many times now.

I had these issues on windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

I love corsair but they need to put some real resources into their products and soon to fix these completely unacceptable issues with their products. If not they are going to lose me and all of the people that I have gotten to buy corsair products in the past including corsair cases, 3 RGB keyboards, mice, memory, coolers.

This is not a threat I like corsair but I am not sure why anymore.

If you have any tips on getting corsair link to work reliably please let me know. Even if anybody has real evidence to support one operating system working better than another. I am desperate.

Until all of these issues are fixed I will not be buying another Corsair product of any kind. PERIOD.

Yeah, I can't actually use your feedback or bring it to our software guys if you don't at least give us system specs. I know that the original Commander wasn't a big winner, but there are a lot of Commander Minis running and running well around the office and at home. We're eating our own dog food here. So if yours is on the fritz, I'd like to figure out why and what can be done.

I do sometimes wonder if there's a compatability problem between Noctua fans and Link.

3 NF-S12A PWM Fans
6 NF-F12 PWM Fans

2 XSPC 480 Rads
2 XSPC GPU waterblocks

Let me know if you need anything else. I will monitor this thread.

I will also add I have never had a problem with Corsair support or customer service. I had a PSU go bad in the last year of warranty and you guys replaced it without even sending the old one back or anything. It was simple and painless. My problem is with lots of PC hardware manufacturers releasing products before they are ready and of a high quality. Sometimes it's the software sometimes it's the hardware sometimes it's both. More often than not the problems never get fully rectified and they move on to different products and just forget the old stuff that never fully worked. :(

Yeah sorry about that. I am so disgusted with computer hardware in general I was quick to type and didn't add the usual information.

Michael if I were in your position Id uninstall any fan controllers/monitoring programs you have installed including Aida64 ,,Aisuite and Link including Links Appdata folder, then do a good cold boot followed by a reinstall of the Link software. If the Link software works initially but not after another reboot then Id try connecting to a rear external usb port...
It may seem like a lot to do but sometimes one needs to start at ground zero.

Appreciate the suggestion. I think I am going to do an entire fresh install, and start completely from scratch.

What do you mean connect to a rear external USB port?? The commander connects to an internal header. Did it come with an adapter that I overlooked??

No you would need to get a usb/mini usb cable, the reason I suggest trying this is m/b headers share data traffic where the rear usb is proprietary and much more dependable.
If you do decide on a fresh Os,before installing Link software do all of your updates first..
