WoW_Guru
I switch off the PSU and unplug it from the mains, yet the mainboard button + reset keys, and the rgb lighting effects on the 1070 strix card remain lit - 4 hours and counting. I tried switching on the system to suck the residual current from the caps but no matter what I do, I cant stop the current flow. Is this a defect? The unit functions fine otherwise. I'd be happy if someone familiar with this issue could enlighten me. Cheers.
n3m37h
Sounds like they put some flux capacitors into your PSU I have an AX860i and and it can take a couple min for for the power and reset buttons to turn off. This is pretty normal. You only have the 1 card? if so that makes sense, you have an extra 600w + to spare that is a lot of juice to get rid of
WoW_Guru
It turned out that the system was receiving power through the DVI-D cable from a Dell 3011 monitor on stand-by. I've never seen this before and it surprised me so much that I jumped at the wrong conclusion. I apologize to all for having posted on a completely unrelated issue. Godspeed & happy new year.. peace.
