pakeco
Can the fans be connected to the motherboard? Or do you need to connect it to Corsair iCUE H115i RGB Pro XT ?. I just want ICUE to control the rgb. I don't want ICUE to control the fans. I'm sorry for my English. Thank you
c-attack
The RGB will be controllable through iCUE and the cooler communicates with the software over the USB 2.0 connection. That is for the pump. The fans on the XT series are not RGB. Other Corsair RGB fans will need to the usual lighting controllers and power. It is better for the fans to be connected to the pump's controller so it can run off the coolant temperature. That's how the cooling works. Regardless, if you want to run them from your motherboard, simply connect the fans to MB headers. Normal BIOS or software controls will apply. iCUE will read 0 rpm for the fans since they are not connected.
