CUE 1.9.62 installation Problem

When i try to install the new CUE 1.9.62 on to my computer i get an error " This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package." i tried to install it multiple times without success. I deleted the old CUE i had on my PC no change (was worth a try) I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Have you tried redownloading the installer?

Yes i did multiple times with the same outcome

did you do a update from a previous windows version or a clean install?

I updated from win 7 to win 10 but the first time i installed the previous version of CUE it worked fine but the update to CUE stopped it from working and it gave me the error from then on

try doing a clean install.

is there any other option as i dont wanna lose my files?

Well you could wait for Corsair to check if its an issue on their side but its most likely a side effect of the Windows upgrade

I had the same problem and this is what fixed it for me:

 

Zenek, check the path for your temporary files.

 

Right click Start -> System -> Advanced system settings -> System variables

 

Once there, look for the TEMP and TMP paths and change the values to C:\TEMP. Do this for both the user and system variables and try installing CUE again.

Had the same problem, just go in C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local and open it, press CTRL+A and delete, clik skip if a window appears, restart the CUE setup and it will work.

Whoa, hold on. Deleting all the folders there except the ones you skip is NOT a good idea. You should empty ONLY the Temp folder in there instead if you really want to.

 

And if you want to delete all current CUE profiles/settings then delete the Corsair folder too.

Ops sorry, my fault I forgot to say open TEMP folder, thanks terabyte.

ok guys thx for all your help you have been a great help but i tried a simple solution that i didnt think about going into the control panel then uninstall program clicked on CUE and then clicked Repair it worked again thx for all you help once gain ^_^
