its got an ASUSTek Computer Inc. P4SD-VL motherboard...i just want to know if the Corsair TWINX Dual Channel 2048MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz Memory will work in it.

According to Wired, 1GB sticks will not work in your system. Your system's motherboard does not support any modules larger than 512MB each (note the 2GB maximum memory limit with 4 memory slots). And the XMS series (this includes the TWINX series, as well) modules aren't really recommended for your system, either, due to the fact that virtually all OEM systems like yours offer no provision at all whatsoever to manually tweak any settings -- not to mention that the DIMM voltage must adhere strictly to the JEDEC reference voltage on such systems.

By the same token, your system's maximum memory capacity at DDR400/PC3200 is only 1GB total (with two 512MB sticks). If you decide to upgrade to 2GB, your memory speed will drop to DDR333/PC2700 due to the limitations of your system (in this case, 2GB can be achieved in your system only by using four 512MB sticks).

And of course, the P4SD-VL motherboard is just another OEM-only motherboard that Asus made. (This means that it was never an official retail/standalone/BYOC product from Asus to begin with.)
