I was wondering the same thing: I'd assume that it's compatible because there is a lot of empty space beyond the side with the PCIe slot, and the mounting holes are the same. However I asked the question to Corsair Support and they said that it's not compatible. I'm not convinced of the answer...

According to

https://www.overclock.net/forum/50-small-form-factor-systems/1515838-mini-dtx-hype-thread-itx-two-pcie-slots.html

"Any Mini-ITX case that has two PCIe slot covers (for dual-slot GPUs) already supports Mini-DTX! The required space for the dual-slot PCIe bracket and video card guarantees space for the motherboard that will extend out under the GPU"

and the 250D does have two PCIe slot covers...

I am looking at my 250D and I measured a 4 cm distance between the edge of my mini-ITX motherboard and the edge of the PSU shroud. I don't see anything at all that would prevent the installation of a mini-DTX board, which is just 3 cm taller: it should comfortably fit with 1 cm of margin. I almost convinced myself that I can safely buy a Crosshair VIII Impact for my upgrade...

I managed to install an Asus Crosshair VIII Impact (mini-DTX) in my 250D, but it is impossible to install a video card once the motheboard is in place. The solution was to insert the video card in the PCIe slot before putting the motherboard inside the case, but at that point it was impossible to fix one of the four screws because it was completely obstructed by the video card. So, my motherboard is fixed by just three screws (not a big problem), and if one day I decide to change video card, I'll have to remove the motherboard.
