jacksplatt11
Hey all Built my PC just on 10 years back with an Asus p6x58d-e and 8gb ram, and it's been going strong, but the 8gb ram I put in back then just doesn't cut it anymore. I have recently acquired the following from ebay in seperate sales: 4x 4gb XMS3 CMX8GX3M2A1333C9 1.5v 2x 4gb XMS3 CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 1.65v I didn't think much of the differences at the time, but just want to check before I chuck it in. I know you shouldn't mix speeds/models/voltages, but in this case when it's all so close, is it safe to do so or still not a good idea? Can/Should I underclock the 1600 or overclock the 1333? Or will it just all automatically match the 1333 and be fine? Cheers
sw25th
The ram will run at the lowest speed, 1333mhz. The differing voltage may not be correct either. Can you just find the same part numbers instead? Not ideal.
