I got mine directly from Corsair (web store). Was cheaper than retailers.

I just don't want to get the thing and have stuff die in a couple months all because of a manufacturing issue.
No red LEDS are know to fail so you are safe if that's the color you want. Buy it and you wont regret it. If you buy blue, just expect a RMA.

The RMA i did back in August the keys/puller package was different. All the blue LED's are still working. The only issue i have now which is a minor one. Once in awhile the scroll-lock light will start blinking at random. I just move the bios switch back and forth to fix it.

What is the lot code for that one? This new one is 13178414, whereas my previous two were both 13198429.

Would be nice if they decided to just say something instead of letting us hang here, and speculating. I don't think they realize that if they communicated more, people would be more open to buying their products.

How does the new package look? Can you post a photo?

Just recieved my K70 in from Amazon. (Cherry Red MX + Red LEDs) We'll see if the problem is fixed. Hopefully it is, because I'm honestly loving this Keyboard. It's basically completed my entire setup. :D

Wonder if I can ask for a red K70 instead of continuing to receive blue K70 replacements? On my 3rd blue K70 and still a ton of LED lights going out after two weeks of usage. I don't like the color red, but this constant replacement of K70 is getting old. I might just be willing to settle for red instead. The mechanism is high quality but the visual is sub-par due to the failing LED. At least for now I can still see my main keys I use in the dark, ASDFG, QWER, BZ, 1-6. If those failed then it would make gaming more difficult for me... have to turn on the lights and ruin the visual excitement of the lights coming from the 24" monitor.

My first LED just went out. This seems to be a very big problem considering how many people are affected by it.
(Sorry for the bump)

Hello, I too have a K70 with 3 faulty LED's. I believe I have got an RMA number what do I do with it now? Do I have to return my keyboard and wait for corsair to make its mind up about a replacement?

Asking as I'd rather not spend £40 for delivery to them if it can be avoided! Cheers.

RMA # is 6403624.

I just got a Cherry MX Red at Best Buy yesterday (it's the Red leds). Are we confirming that this is mainly an issue with the Blue LEDS?

Are the Red LEDS safe?
