Question 790FX-GD70 and CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 XMP help

Hello, please can someone help me wi86th a issue I am having. My memory continues to fail tests using Memtest on Auto memory settings and when I manually adjust the memory settings it continues to fail the test.

The motherboard I am using is a MSI 790FX-GD70 and cpu is Phenom II X4 955 3.20 GHz

Please please help me.

The CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 RAM is approved for Intel i5/i7 PCs so it may not work properly on an AMD system? You should see about replacing it with RAM approved for the Phenom II AMD CPUs. Any of the AMD approved Phenom II RAM from the link below should work fine.

PC Overclocking is like the lottery:

There are many possible combinations but only a few that produce winning results. Nothing is guaranteed when it comes to overclocking. If you are able to tune your hardware to run beyond it's specified performance, then you got something for free.

Don't expect this to always happen.
