Default RAM Compatibility with CPU

Hey,
I want to purchase Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 XMP and it states that the RAM is designed for 3rd and 4th generation CPU.
My CPU is an Intel Core i7 2700k (2ndGen) and the motherboard Asus P8Z77-V LX. I am wondering if the CPU and the RAM work correctly due to the generation gap.

Thanks

That kit will work fine with your CPU/MOBO combo.
