marthpodi
Hi! I'm trying to upgrade my 3yr old system with 2gb additional memory. The system is Biostar TForce 6100 mobo AMD Athlon 64 3600+ Previously was running with 2GB (2x 1GB sticks) of Corsair CM2X1024-6400 (DDR2 800, 5-5-5-12). I bought a TWIN2X2048-6400 to add 2 more 1GB sticks to the mobo. The mobo documentation says it can accept up to 1GB per DIMM x4. I've posted a question about configuring the system with 4x DIMMs here: http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92107 However, if I were to scrap that idea and just buy a 4GB kit for this computer, what should I get? I used the Corsair memory finder and it gave me suggestions for 2x2GB and 2x1GB, but I dont think 2x2GB will work with my mobo. Are there any 4x1GB DDR2 800 kits sold? Sorry for the long-winded post and thanks.
