Default Xpert gone Bad...

Been using Xpert CMXP1024-3200C2s in a gaming machine for about 9-10 months. Enter BSODs. One module fails when running 3rd party diags at address 10045EA0 consistently. The other passes in the same slot with the same diags.

CMXP1024-3200C2 / XMS3202v2.1 / 0616001-1 / auto (BIOS default) timings and voltage.

Thanks,
-C_W

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.

Thanks. memtest diags in progress. To note, previous testing was done with Micro2000's Micro-Scope diag software.

Same results confirmed via memtest. It's dead Jim. As I do not recall these modules being matched, I would only need the one RMA'd.

Thanks,

http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/xms.html

It looks like they were only sold in matched pairs.

Wired - Thanks for the correction. Embarrasing in that I assumed and should have done my own research.

Yes, I'll RMA both modules then.

Thanks,

You will want to submit the RMA as one TwinxP2048-3200C2 set and send them both so they are replaced as a set.
