PCGamer23
Hi there I would love to hear some of you guys opinion on which PSU I should get. My current PSU the Ax860i is experiencing some issues at the moment and I have submitted a request with Corsair to process an RMA. The Corsair rep told me that the Ax860i is currently discontinued so there offering me two options the Hx1000i 80 Plus Platinum or the Ax850 80 Plus Titanium. Which one would be the better choice and have you guys heard any good things about either of these PSUs.

PCGamer23
The HX1000i Hey jonny thank you for the reply, why would you choose the hx1000i over the ax850 ?
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted December 6, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 6, 2020 Hey jonny thank you for the reply, why would you choose the hx1000i over the ax850 ? Because it's better? The AX has efficiency going for it. That's it. Just efficiency. It's 80 PLUS Titanium vs. Platinum. But efficiency doesn't make for a better PSU. The HX has a better fan, better build quality, is more robustly built, has the iCUE functionality..... I mean.. it's just an all around better PSU... except for efficiency. Vegan
I have the HX1000i and the difference in platinum and titanium is very thin at best The HX1000i is very good and I have used one for quite a while now and it is solid
Pocah
Both are really good PSU's so personally I would just get the one that has the iCEU control and monitoring. Monitoring isn't essential at all, but it's fun!
