Tallbarr
Hi I aim to build a new computer, going with the Asus Prime-A X299 motherboard, with the Intel X299 chipset And with it I want RAM in a 4 stick kit that was able to be overclocked. I am looking at the Vengeance LPX (4 x 8GB) DDR4 4000MHz kit However in the specifications of Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 4000MHz , compatibility with the X299 chipset is not mentioned. So my question is if this memory kit still work together with the X299 chipset. And if it does, how optimally? Thanks in advance for the help. PJH
Hey, hey! Yeah, best you get a verification on that. I can tell you they're not supported on X99 boards, although a BIOS update is mentioned. Otherwise, I would not risk it unless told by Corsair directly. Attached a file directly from Corsair regarding X99 boards.
