HiddenSquid776
So, I was wondering if there was a way to program the scimitar mouse to have the 12 side buttons as "extra". I had another mouse from another brand before this one and it had two side buttons and when setting them in a game they would be labeled as 'mouse button 4' and 'mouse button 5" without needing to be set as another pre-existing button (ie. binding it to a numpad button instead of its own 'mouse button'). I was wondering if there was a way to do that with this mouse, setting it to get 'mouse buttons 5-16' instead of "pressing" numpad1 when I hit the 1 button on the side. LLama71
Unfortunately you cannot do that, but it is not a limitation of the mouse, but of Windows. There is a predefined set of keys that OSes recognize. You can bind the 12 mouse buttons to F13 - F24. Keyboards do not use them, but the keycodes exist. Just keep in mind that plenty of software (including most games) do not support them, from my experience.
