Hello everybody, i'm new here and i have a big problem about my SSD. I don't know why my ssd is "slow" . You can see the tests :

http://tinypic.com/r/35dcgw5/5 :(

Why so slow? :(

Here BIOS pics:

http://tinypic.com/r/262nnv7/5

And yes, of course my SSD is under SATA 3 (white cable)

here other pics about cables:

I try to update firmware but my signature is 142-142-27514 and if i try to update it doesn't work with "SSD Firmware Update Tool" because link that i found here (Force GS 180 GB) gave me 22899.vic and 22979.vic and don't update :(

Please, help me :(

Speed looks good, what do you mean? The specification of your drive referr the tool ATTO.

But you are right, i cant find the signature too, even not in the old 5.03 180GB SF pack :(:

Which FW-version does it show in the Corsair Toolbox? (see stick thread).

Please dont try the Auto-FW-update via Toolbox until an employee gave you green light about this unknown signature.

hi, thanks for answer. Well, i put here a screenshot about toolbox and firmware

http://tinypic.com/r/jze6oz/5; http://tinypic.com/r/154k6cy/5.

As you can see i have strange signature but this forum give me another number to update. however, if i try to upgrade, it obviously doesn't work.

Remember that my ssd is 555/525 speed maximum... :(

Is this a Force GS 180 GB ? Please post a screenshot of the Corsair Toolbox.

Having said that, it's showing you have 5.05A, so you are up to date.

As stated on the tech specs of the drive, the speeds tested are using ATTO. Please test with ATTO and post a screenshot.

You can attach files here and then copy that link and insert as image in your post

This is normal. The drive carries the latest firmware. The signature is new whatever, so it will be part of the "next" update.

You got lots of ram and a very good chipset, sata-controller and processor. I suggest you to try a raid0 with 2 of that disks plus the app fancycache. That way you would max out extreme rates +5GB/s caching a 600MB/s read/write-drive.

Incriminated: Signatures have nothing to do with the age of an SSD.

kingrock90: I'd recommend updating your BIOS and SATA drivers. You're getting impossible ATTO scores, so something's interfering with it. Was anything running in the background when you ran that test?

???

1. The point is: His signature number of a new drive is not in the update list of files of the recent 5.05a-update-pack, plus it already carries 5.05a, so in this case - obviously yes - it has something to do with drive age and i bet brickstones any next FW-update will include his signature-no. Got it?

2. His speeds when you click on the tinyurl-links show good speeds, not impossible. What you see in my forum-signature is really possible cashing speed, so whats "interferring" is fancy-cache, what i reported in the topic someone censored and deleted, so i decided to put it in my signature to bait some nipple. :D:

1. To put it another way, the signature has no information on the age of a drive. A drive made 6 months can have the same signature as a drive made yesterday. The serial number is what tells you the age (1308 = 2013, week 08)

2. Check out the speeds again. Most of the read speeds in his ATTO screenshot are well in excess of the physical capabilities of the drive. 4,000 MB/sec?

/OT: "bait some nipple" - I've never heard that one before.

1. Yes, so you agree, when he has bought a new drive with signate-numbering recently showing up, that is not available in the "old" - update packs, since the that signature wasnt out at the time the "update" showed up, because it comes with recent version from factory. So i just want to make clear to this lost sould who don't know how to update his brandnew drives FW- right now why everything is allright. :D

2. OH right i didn't saw the right part my browser. Either he is using a cache-software or some kind of ReadyBoost, i guess. The very first link in his frst post should really normal ASSSD/CrystalDisk, nothing was wrong with that, quite better than my Force 3 without fancycache in seq read/write, same for 4K-64Thrd.

Some other values are really bad.

Writing/Reading sequentially incompressible data at even 5000MB/s to my drive C:\ whats the SSD is technically no problem... it just takes some "more" time in the background (ram-cache) :D:

Really cool when for example having to re-load a Games-Map/Level again :D:

Again, it's an assumption. Neither you nor I know if in this case it's perhaps just a missing file. I know for a fact that this is a possibility because I've seen it happen before.

kingrock90: Have you ever tested with ATTO before and seen normal results? Are you using any type of caching software? I'd also recommend rolling back to an older SATA driver and see if that changes the ATTO results.
