Ganjahouse
I wonder if this HUB for Corsair QL140 RGB works and will I be able to power the fan lights well?
c-attack
That is an RGB Lighting Hub. It works for all fan types and supplies power for lighting only. It must then connect to a controller — either a Lighting Node Pro or Commander Pro. When you buy multipacks of the QL you get a Lighting Node Core. It looks similar to that and is effectively a RGB hub like above combined with the Lighting Node Pro in one package, but for 6 fans only. Because it is both power conduit and controller, it’s a one box setup and there will be a usb 2 connector on it.
Ganjahouse
That sounds perfect, I was worried because I don't know where I read that this hub could not deliver all the lighting to the QL fan. I currently have this
c-attack
You can run then from the RGB hub and the Commander. No problem and that’s how mine go. The issue is on the Lighting Node Pro. At 5-6 QL the current is nearing the limit and so CUE will disable RGB channel 2 on a LNP if you put QL in channel 1. That basically turns it into a Lighting Node Core — 1 set of fans per device. No issue on the Commander Pro.
