NagisaFawkes
Hello, the PSU that I have is the HX850i. It comes with Sata cables that have 3 outputs on them. I was wondering if I could feed both the Command Pro and the Lightning Node Core using only one of the cables. Would that cause any problems? c-attack
If you mean the main SATA PSU cable has 3-4 connections on it, that’s just like the rest of us and you are generally OK to run both the Commander and Core from the same main line. However, you need to be a little more cautious if you are going fully load up all three RGB channels. 6 QL or LL fans on Ch 1 and 2 plus 6 more on the Core might be too much 5v. It’s possible it could flicker or dim. Worst case scenario is the PSU shuts you down.
NagisaFawkes
Thanks for the reply! I don't plan to overload it with that many fans. I have 2 LL140s on my H115i platinum, another 1 LL140 for back exhaust and 3 LL120 whites for intake.
c-attack
You should be fine. A warning sign would be if the Commander starts reporting a really low voltage on the 5v rail. You will be able to see it clearly in CUE on the Commander Pro page. If you see a lot 4.65v or below, moving the AIO, Commander, and Core to separate PSU cables might help balance the load.
