LS-100 - A Couple Questions

So I already have an LS-100 setup (6 strips - 4 long/2 short) in my lighting set up already but I do not use them on a monitor currently but in my current 'battlestation' setup. I was wondering on a couple questions that maybe someone here can answer:

 

1) Can you use more than one LS-100 Kit? So can I actually add another LS-100 Starter kit to put light around my monitor although I already have 6 strips set up currently?

 

2) With my current setup can I go with 6 longs strips instead of the 4 long & 2 short?

 

Just curious if this is all possible before going out & buy another starter kit. Thanks for those who know the answers to these questions.

to add to this, you can but the screen sync LEDs will be off since there isn't support for that
